Artist background
ÜLTRA RAPTÖR were formed in late 2015 after Criss Raptör, Steve Force and Rick Wild began discussing a project inspired by German speed metal and US power metal. The musical idea quickly developed its own exaggerated mythology. A suggestion involving the name ÜLTRA RAPTÖR and a song about Cadillacs and dinosaurs helped establish a character that has remained central ever since. The independently produced Ültra Raptör EP followed in 2018 and received a positive response from the underground heavy metal scene. Recording for the debut album Tyrants began at the end of 2020; the record was completed in early summer 2021 and released by Fighter Records that November. After further shows in Canada, the band began writing Fossilized in 2024. It was recorded during the first half of 2025 and released on October 7, 2025.
