TOMI PERRAKOSKI
Founder • Host • Producer • Music Curator • Artist
Tomi Perrakoski is the founder, host and driving force behind Metal Madness Weekly, an international heavy-metal media platform combining a magazine, podcast and studio operation from Finland.
With a strong focus on supporting the underground metal scene, Tomi works with artists and bands from around the world, giving emerging and established acts professional exposure through interviews, editorial features, music curation and podcast programming.
During the summer, Tomi has conducted interviews with artists and bands including Dogma, Soilwork, Eluveitie, Kalmah, Iotunn, BRHG and Omnium Gatherum, among many others.
As a music curator, Tomi has already completed thousands of music reviews across multiple platforms, discovering new artists and helping bring their music to international audiences. Supporting underground metal remains his main priority.
Tomi is also an active musician and works across multiple musical projects and line-ups, exploring different sides of heavy music and creative production. Alongside his own music, he regularly publishes articles featuring artists, releases and new discoveries on Metal Madness Weekly.
His podcast, Metal Madness Weekly, brings together artists and metal music from around the world and has developed into an increasingly international platform, reaching listeners across 170+ countries.
Outside music and media, Tomi has a strong passion for fitness and the outdoors. He is a former Finnish powerlifting competitor and 2010 European Championship winner, and continues to train regularly. He is also an enthusiastic nature traveller and has visited 40 Finnish national parks, combining his love of the outdoors with a lifelong passion for exploration.
